It was announced earlier today that Sowing the Seeds, Seed Experience’s Joburg-based festival, would be postponed until an as-yet-unannounced further date.
“Due to various circumstances, most importantly a global tour scheduling change for our international headliner, John Newman, Seed Experiences has taken the difficult decision to postpone the Sowing the Seeds Music Festival. At this stage, the new date cannot be confirmed,” reads a message released on their Facebook event earlier today.
The event, which was set to have British soul singer John Newman headline, was scheduled for 25-27 April and was also going to feature Shortstraw, Beatenberg, Desmond & the Tutu’s and many more. This is an unfortunate development for those in Joburg hopeful of attending what was sure to be a high-quality music festival, but there is no doubt that the organisers will do everything they possibly can to deliver the experience at a later date.
In the meantime, Joburg fans can catch John Newman a night earlier on Thursday the 24th of April at Town Hall Lane at 66 Carr Street, Newtown.
“All Sowing the Seeds ticket holders will receive a full refund. Credit Card Transactions will be automatically refunded, for EFT/ Cash Deposit please send your bank details and reference number to Webtickets: email@example.com,” said their Facebook post.
They ended the post by saying: “Be assured of Seed Experiences’ ongoing commitment to delivering the best music events in South Africa, which we could not do without your support. We look forward to producing an even better Sowing the Seeds Music Festival, which this postponement will allow us to do.”
