We want to know what’s going on! Send us all your music and article ideas and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

MUSICIANS

If you’d like us to consider your music, please send us an email with the following:

  • Your artist name
  • Links to your most recent or most important work
  • Links to a streamable preview of your work (no download links)
  • An estimated release date
  • Where you’re local to (town, province, suburb, area, etc.)
  • A description of who you are, what your music means to you, what it could mean to the community and how it was made.

Note: We aim to listen and respond to any and all submissions, but we are a tiny team with limited capacity and rely on a network of freelance writers to cover the music of Southern Africa. If you do not hear back within 7 days, please consider your submission unsuccessful.

WRITERS

If you’d like to write for Platform or any of the publications that we work with, please send us an email with the following:

  • Your name
  • Links to your most recent or most important writing work (where possible, links are preferable) and any relevant experience you have
  • A pitch: An idea of what you’d like to write about, why it fits Platform and what’s important, interesting, excellent about the subject (100 words)
  • Links to the things you want to write about, where possible.
  • Where you’re local to (town, province, suburb, area, etc.)
