The Guardian recently uploaded an article regarding an exciting announcement that Glastonbury made this morning. Thabo Rasenyalo (Thibo Tazz) and Thulani Headman (DJ Fosta) have been added to the line-up for the Silver Hayes stage – an area formerly known as the dance village. The announcement brings the tally of South African acts at Glastonbury up to three as Rasenyalo and Headman join John Wizards, whose spot at the festival was announced a few weeks ago.
“The pair’s trip is funded by the British Council’s Connect ZA scheme and The Department of Arts and Culture of South Africa, which aim to build cultural connections between young people in South Africa and the UK. Pioneer DJ – a co-sponsor – and Bridges For Music – a charity that works with some of dance music’s biggest stars to support artists in developing countries – have also helped to arrange the pairing between the acts and Glastonbury,” says The Guardian.
PLATFORM was fortunate enough to host both Thibo Tazz and John Wizards at PLATFORM Presents: 01 at the Dragon Room in April where they played alongside Zaki Ibrahim, Beatenberg and Felix Laband. The PLATFORM team would like to wish Thabo, Thulani and all of John Wizards all the best for their travels and performances which will no doubt provide the global Glastonbury audience with an unforgettable experience.
