One of four artists releasing via Dutch Label Vresh, Pascäal, is the latest to release an EP entitled Fragile. Little info is available online about both the label and Pascäal, but one thing is for certain, the first single ‘Rain Jacket’ is sublime.
Underpinned by a warm bass sub-pressure and accented with vocals at varied degrees of pitch manipulation, synths hover and soothe the middle of this aural feast that just oozes that summer feeling throughout.
These descriptions should be a tell-tale sign that this track is a fine example of UK Bass/Post-Dubstep that is notoriously incapable of articulation. But rest easy in knowing it’s a dynamic example of experimental electronica that sits quite comfortably aside the likes of Mount Kimbie’s 2010 masterwork of a debut, Crooks & Lovers.
