Pretoria singer, producer and rapper Zoocci Coke Dope just announced that he is now an official member of the label Vth Season, the label headed by the hip-hop business man Raphael Benza.
This is what the artist had to say on the signing:
“I’m excited to start this new venture in my career, a whole lot of hard work and sleepless nights became the fruit of my efforts. I’m mostly humbled by the support and belief from Vth Season in pursuing my dreams with me. This is like when the Cavs first signed Lebron, I’m just really happy to be a part of the team and I’m ready to take my career to the next level. I told Benza to bet on me, it’s a guaranteed flip.”
Vth Season is the same label that AKA was previously under, and is currently home to Big Star, another one of Zoocci’s affiliates, with whom he has collaborated.
Zoocci Coke Dope came to prominence this year through his production and hooks on songs by the likes of DJ Speedsta, Big Star, and Ex Global, among others.
He released his debut EP Morning Star a few months ago, a solid body of work boasting features from the likes of Stogie T, A-Reece, and Ginger Trill.
He also followed the EP with a documentary of the same name, in which he details the making of the EP.
